Nurture provides a variety of developmental services including assessment, treatment, and parent coaching.
Nurture is excited to be working with the Kasari Lab at the University of California, Los Angeles, to bring JASPER (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation: Kasari, Gulsrud, Shire & Strawbridge, 2021) to Vancouver.
JASPER is an evidence-based, naturalistic, developmental behavioural intervention (NDBI). JASPER supports the development of social communication (including joint attention, gestures and language), play, social engagement and regulation in autistic children.
Our team of Nurture Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists have participated in JASPER training and are either certified or working on their certification under the supervision of JASPER trainers at UCLA.
JASPER is a 12 week treatment, with 2 sessions each week. Modules are offered on a regular basis throughout the year.
You can find out more about this exciting program by calling us at 604.327.9734, or emailing us at email@example.com. For more information about JASPER, you can also check out www.jaspertraining.org.
For families of neurodiverse children seeking ongoing intervention, we offer comprehensive developmental intervention led by Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.
We work with families to develop an individualized program based on naturalistic, developmental behavioural interventions including JASPER (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation: Kasari, Gulsrud, Shire & Strawbridge, 2021), the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and other respectful, positive, evidence-based interventions.
Speech-language pathology and occupational therapy services are integrated into each child's program.
All families receive parent coaching to help support them in their journey with their child.
We provide community and clinic based services, with most children receiving both home and clinic visits.
For families seeking a more intensive program, Nurture hires and trains outstanding interventionists who can help us deliver an effective program.
